After the death of the Great Deku Tree, the residential Kokiri of the Lost Woods are in despair both at the lose of a grandfather figure and the worrying suspicion that monstrous creatures will take advantage of his decline and move further into their territory.
While most Kokiri stick to their shelters. Saria stays out in the woods, dealing with her grief of the tree by soaking in what remains beautiful about the forest, be it the birds singing, the colourful blooming flowers.
She ends up staying out too late and has to rest in a tall tree.
But a mysterious Lamia curls up in the tree to greet the green girl.
Is this Lamia one of the monsters the Kokiri fear? Or are her gentle interactions genuine?
