Surprise Wake Ups

Roxanne (Goof Troop)

 Roxanne's camping trip with Stacey took a grim turn when both girls were ambushed by the hypnotic python Kaa, with Roxanne being dragged away from the campsite further and further into the woods where they couldn't be found.

Roxanne was made to walk up to the trees on a staircase made of Kaa's coils where the snake flung her limp body around however he wanted, making her pretend to fly like a bird, juggled her like a ball, before laying her in a hammock.

When Roxanne woke up, she found herself sitting up with Kaa's coil mass surrounding her, a feeling of being smothered between them a mere second ago.

What happened? and is Roxanne still in danger?

Inami  / Hyaema

Having failed the Anaconda Rite and been captured and separated from the rest of the team, Inami/Hyaema are squeezed unconscious in the mighty grip of the giant snake without the other three companions around to help.

Though not only does either one wake up alive, a strange occurrence in and of itself given how near-death the constriction process went. But they don't wake up in a stomach. Rather carried up high in the trees with not a scratch on their body, suggesting they never made contact with a single fang of the Anaconda's maw.

Were they spared? For what Reason?

Keira (DinoFroz)

Being crept upon by the Titanoboa in the treetop cold night, fixed on the serpents glowing teal eyes, and able to do nothing as it slowly coiled around her.

Keira had survived the mayhem of the Dragons, but she was still vulnerable to the rest of the wildlife. And when the Titanoboa had a target, it was over. If it wanted to eat Keira, it would eat her.

Only. It seemed to not want to. Why else was she outside the stomach the next morning?

It seems the tribal girl may have been too small to be even a light snack for the massive dino-eater.

But then, why did it capture Keira?

Arthur Pendragon (SitS)

When trying to recover Kay's arrow in the woods, the tree branch Arthur stood on snapped and hey fell into the coils of Kaa the serpent, who twisted and shifted his mass to cocoon the boy up before surprise attacking the scrawny boy with his hypnotic powers. A sharp contrast of bright colours against the darkness of the woods Arthur had been walking through. It didn't take long for him to succumb to the magical spell.

Such an easy meal. But not eaten.

Arthur woke up very much unharmed in the treetops. Did someone come to his rescue?

Hazel (SitS)

It was nice exploring her old home area again. Both for the nostalgic comfort but also the juxtaposition of re-examining her surrounds in a new giant body.

But where her new size protected her from some predators that would have hunted her Squirrel form very casually, it opened her up to new ones.

A giant snake that probably would have ignored something so small as Hazel originally now slithered down to the unsuspecting girl and immobilized her with his magic.

The tingly feeling of Kaa's rings were equivalent to her lovey-dove feelings she had towards Arthur when they first met. She was lulled under the spell like a moth to a flame.

Suddenly Hazel was jolted awake when the coils around her shock around and fell from her body. She was alive safe and sound. But where was the head of the serpent?

Dipper Pines (Manly Loincloth)

Dipper had trekked for a long time in the woods heading towards the lair of the Multi-headed bear in order to prove his strength to the Manotaurs.

But he didn't get all the way before being stopped by something he couldn't handle. A massive yellow Boa that was big enough to eat 50 of him. The Serpents raw strength with its thick hide would have been difficult enough for Dipper to overcome, but it didn't need to fight. The serpent subdued him with her spiralling eyes that put him in a trance.

Dippers vision was lost as a mind-controlled personality took over.

When Dipper came to, he found himself safe and sound in the coils of the beast, noticing his temporary tatts had been cleaned off, likely from the waters of the river.

Was the snake aware what Dipper was trying to do and protecting him? Or did it see a boy from the village out and about in the deep woods, find him cute and wanna snuggle him?

If it was the latter, Dipper was going to be upset.

Emma Sharp (J.G.a.t.I.o.L.D)

The British girl trapped on the Island of Dinosaurs was very fearful of her jungle surroundings, the rustling of the bushes, the noises of animals she couldn't decern.

And now finding herself sinking into quicksand, she feared her young life was over, she flailed around for something to grip and hold onto to pull herself out of danger but there was nothing in reach as her entire body was engulfed in them mud.

She lost consciousness before she ran out of breathe.

When waking up, she had momentarily forgot about her predicament in the mud as she woke up very peacefully and snuggly. It took awhile for her to be shocked awake realizing she wasn't in a bed, nor even indoors.

Finding herself outside on a warm sunny day up in the treetops surrounded by the coils of a massive green snake.

She panicked knowing a man-eating predator had her surrounded, but then her mind recalled that incident in the mud. She must have been saved by the snake!

But had the snake rescued her out of the kindness of its heart, or did it intend to eat the girl after it finished cleaning her?

Monica Raybrandt (Dark Cloud 2)

It's dangerous enough for Princesses to go venturing out in the Jungle, it's even more dangerous when wearing a leopard-print bikini, it attracts snakes like Sharks to Blood.

Monica may be an especially expert fighter who has dealt with many magical beasts, but she was not prepared for how powerful Kaa's hypnosis proved.

Had Kaa wanted to, he'd have squeezed her to death in his coils in 10 seconds.

Fortunately she was not executed by the serpent. But why?

Link (Legend of Zelda)

Link has had a successful career in taking down many great legendary beasts, including the King of Evil himself, Ganondorf, but against the hypnotic spell of Kaa the snake, he was made helpless. He could do nothing as Kaa wound his coils loop by loop around the boy and secured him in a prison of muscle.

But some fortune continues to aid Link, as he wakes up in the treetops alive.

What circumstance has kept him from being eaten alive?

Saria (Legend of Zelda)

With the Great Deku Tree deceased, the woods have become more dangerous for the Kokiri with Dark Forces entrenching themselves further in. While many of the other children stayed in their village, Saria continued to play her music out in the lost woods.

This carelessness got her snatched  by a python with hypnotic abilities. She would already have been helpless enough to defend herself even without the magic, but now she couldn't even make a meak push against the approaching coils as she was wrapped up and secure.

But perhaps the protective aura of the Deku Tree is still somewhat present. For Saria is alive.

Or maybe Kaa wants her music for himself, it is rather catchy.

(A less threatening scenario of the previous outcome, as Nancy, although being much bigger and more powerful than Kaa would never dare eat a Kokiri)
