Not long ago I vacationed for awhile in Japan and saw many sites, and went and visited many hotspots. Took half a thousand photos.
Not going to post everything like a Facebook mum, but a few highlights that might entertain a few of my followers that may take a trip out there as well can't hurt.
Narita Airport |
Photo taken arriving into Tokyo-Japan seeing Mount Fuji from the plane, combo pictured with a mural upon entering the airport
Disneyland |
Given that I arrived in Tokyo, you can bet I visited both Disneyland and DisneySea. There were almost as many musical-based attractions to see as there were actual rides.
Highlighted photos;
(1) Disney Castle and a statue dedicated to the many who got the theme park built
(2) On site Hotel
(3) A Cut of the park-wide parade
(4) Disney castle at night 1 hour before the fireworks
DisneySea |
Highlighted photos;
(1) Marine Life Institute (Finding Nemo Screening)
(2) Little Mermaid attraction site, outside (Deep underground attractions inside)
(3) Arabian snake introing the Aladdin theatre attraction
(4) Steamship attraction near the Tower-of-Terror
(5) Little Mermaid at Night
(6) Jules Verne area at Night
Universal Studios |
Highlighted photos;
(1) Rotating Sphere at Park Entrance
(2) Gifts Shops & Restaurants outside the park (Night Shot)
(3) Front Row viewing of Water-World stunt show
(4) Hogwarts Castle
Bragging Corner: During the Water-World showcase, three lucky people got picked from the crowd to do comedy acts for the crowd prior to the real deal with the pirates.
I bring it up because I was one of the volunteered (Specially, the one who got trolled, Lol)
Tokyo Geek Shops |
Highlighted photos;
(1) Tokyo-Skytree: Pokemon gift shop
(2) Tokyo-Skytree: Ghibli gift shop
(3) Tokyo-Skytree: Kirby Cafe & Shop
(4) Shibuya City: Mugiwara Store (Visited during Anniversary special, yay!)
(5) Shibuya City: Nintendo Store (Neighbouring Pokemon shop)
(6) Shibuya City: Capcom Store
[Also visited the Nintendo and Capcom stores in Osaka as well, mentioning it here cause no photos taken]
Tokyo Points of Interest |
Highlighted photos;
(1) Sensō-ji: Buddhist Temple.
(2) Akibhara City at Night
(3) Shibuya Crossing (Early morning with not many pedestrians, got REAL busy very quickly after I got the photo
(4) Mandrake Underground Shop [Shibuya City]: Photo taken from the bottom of what I recall being 6 flights of stairs, lower then the underground train system, and the store itself streched out for a mile, while being absolutely claustrophobic given it was stacked everywhere with books, toys and all manner of material.
(5) NHK Studio: Television centre, located nearby a musical hall as well.
(6) Ghibli Museum: Ya'll damn well knew I would go here.
No photos could be taken whilst inside the Museum so I don't have really much to highlight visually.
Something I feel interesting was that a good 6th of the centre was dedicated not to Ghibli itself, but rather Miyazaki's television series, Future Boy Conan
Osaka Points of Interest |
Highlighted photos;
(1) Osaka Station: Train station and good 13-story high shopping centre that also connected with another shopping centre (Also contains the Capcom Cafe)
(2) Dotonbori at Night
(3) Tsūtenkaku Skyline
(4) Tōdai-ji Temple: Located in Nara Park (Also known as Deer park for obvious reasons)
(5) (Insert Building Name Here): Photo taken on the train going into Osaka Station, no idea what this building is and Google maps isn't showcasing it at the time I'm writing this, will have to update this when I recall.
(6) Osaka Castle: the #1 thing I had on my list to go and see
Weird fact: There was a miniture shop located up nearby Osaka castle that had music radio'd in, and I noticed one of the tracks playing was 'Rescue Battle' from Samurai Warriors 3
that's awesome
