Though (Soviet) Kaa may not be a god, he is a might and wise beast of a snake that Sans-Mononoke feels honour and joy to be in the presence of.

The Seeonee wolf pack did a very good job in protecting there adopted little 'frog' from dangers, Shere'Khan being a mere 1 threat.

And not the only one to hold any grudges against the wolf boy.

Against there better judgement to run, the two intoxicated kids felt at peace with the hungry serpent, embraced each other, and allowed the python to wrap them up and adjust its jaw.
